Mercy Ships is a unique organization in which every volunteer on board pays their own way. Every nurse, surgeon, engineer, coffee barista, photographer, hair stylist, therapist, teacher and cook pay their own room & board, food and travel in order to serve.
Because of this, the staff on board are filled with incredible people that have huge hearts willing to sacrifice and serve the neediest people in the world. And I cannot even begin to describe to you how lucky I feel to be a part of it.
